The organizers are trying to connect international teams looking to charter a race ready Hobie 16 with owners that are willing to charter their Hobie 16.
Charter arrangements will be between the 2 parties (owner and user) only. The owner must transport the boat to and from the event and meet insurance requirements per class rules. Liability waivers will be required between boat user, and boat owners to protect all parties’ interests.
Charter Boats must be:
- No older than 2004
- Not be more than 10 lbs over the 320 lbs minimum class weight
- Race Ready condition
- All standing rigging, running rigging (main sheets-jib sheets), rudders, tillers, and trampoline must be in good condition
- Battens for main and jib shall be made available for all charters
- If sails are needed by boat user, condition and pictures of sails may be required
Suggested daily charter fee of at least $275 / day.
